The Power of Nutrients

Our mission is to create unique dietary supplements that support human health, vitality, and beauty.

Essential Nutrients

Vitamins and minerals are two of the six essential nutrients needed by the body for blood, bone, immune, heart, skin, nerve, and vision health. These micronutrients support each human body system and play an important role in metabolism, energy production, and hydration. A wide variety of vitamins and minerals can be found in many animal and plant-based foods.

Why consider dietary supplements?

There are many reasons to consider supplementing our diets with nutraceuticals, and the following are just a few.

Our diets have changed.

Research from Northeastern University’s Network Science Institute indicates that in the United States, 73 percent of the food supply is ultra-processed. Most processed foods are created from substances such as oils, fats, sugars, and starch that are high in calories but have low nutritional value.

Agricultural practices have changed.

Modern farming and agricultural practices have changed to support the increased demand for food production for our growing population. These practices have increased soil degradation on agricultural land that was once higher in nutrients.

Food travels farther than it used to.

The nutritional value of fruits and vegetables begins to fade as soon as they are harvested. Their nutrient retention is influenced by several factors, including the type of fruit or vegetable, storage conditions, and the amount of time since their harvest. Shopping at local farmers’ markets for fruits and vegetables that have not traveled long distances is not an option for many consumers.

Cooking and canning may deplete nutrients.

Canned foods are convenient, affordable, and stay shelf stable for 1 to 5 years or longer. Canning preserves most of a food’s nutrients including carbs, fats, proteins and minerals, and most fat-soluble vitamins such as A, D, E, and K. Water soluble vitamins such as vitamin C and B vitamins may be damaged from the heat that is used to process and can foods.

Health requires nutrients.

The vitamins and minerals that we used to obtain from whole organic foods have declined from the inclusion of ultra-processed food and the exclusion of whole foods. Vitamin and mineral deficiencies can lead to health problems, disease, depression, and a poor immune system.
